Spring's Aflutter


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the artwork of Sara Butcher and can be purchased from CDO.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Freeze! here

Gem Mask 71 here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes – Crosshatch
Mura’s Meister – Cloud and Copies

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

New Raster layer.
Make your Selection Tool active set on Rectangle.
Create a rectangle approximately 225 x 500 pixels.
Copy and paste Paper 10 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 49
Sharpness: 0
Strength: 1
OK
Deselect.
Give the paper a slight inner Bevel:

Duplicate this layer.
Don’t worry about placement yet.

New Raster layer.
Create a rectangle approximately 400 x 500 pixels.
Copy and paste Paper 12 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes – Crosshatch:
Use same settings.
Deselect.
Give it the same slight Inner Bevel.
Don’t worry about placement yet.

Copy and paste Daisy 1 as a new layer.
Resize 3%
Apply Mura’s Meister – Copies
Choose: Encircle.
Change the top 3 numbers to:
Number: 60
Shift X: 60
Shifty Y: 60
OK

Move all layers into exact position – see my tag for reference.

Color Pallet:
Foreground: #feecb5
Background: #fafaf0

Highlight the ring of flowers.
Click inside of it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer below the ring.
Apply Mura’s Meister – Cloud
Copy and paste the following elements below the frame – don’t worry about placement or what overhangs the ring of flowers:
Sweet Home 3:  Resize 30%/ Lower the Opacity to 24
Spring Flowers 1:  Resize 30%/ Lower the Opacity to 24
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Highlight the paper layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight each element layer and tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste Beaded Ribbon 1 as a new layer.
Resize 3%
Apply Mura’s Meister – Copies:
Choose Line
Change Number to 25
OK
Move into position at the top of the large rectangle – see my tag for reference.
Make your Selection Tool active, still set on Rectangle and section off the element line.
Selections/Invert
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.
Duplicate/Flip

Add the elements.  I used:
Flower Border 1:  Resize 15%/Free rotate Left 90 degrees/Duplicate/Mirror
Butterfly 1:  Resize 10%/Free rotate Right 25 degrees
Butterfly 2:  Resize 13%/Free rotate Left 25 degrees
Bow 1:  Resize 25%/Duplicate/Mirror
Bumble Bee 1:  Resize 20%/Mirror
Cricket 3:  Resize 10%
Butterfly Scatter 1:  Resize 55%

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 3 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur:
Radius: 9
OK
Apply the mask.
Resize 105%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground and Background: #f9965e
Stroke: 0.8
Type your name.
Convert to Raster layer.
Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Random and Monochrome checked
Noise: 18%
OK
Select All/Float/Defloat
Selections/Modify/Expand by 2.
New Raster layer below your name.
Flood fill with #fdecb6
Deselect.

Resize all layers 85%.
