Red, White, and Boom


Supplies Needed

1 tube of choice – I used the wonderful artwork of Henning Ludvigsen which can be purchased from Up Your Art.  You must have a license to use.

Font of choice – I used Great Vibes here 

Weescotlass Mask 21 here

My template 104 here

Plug Ins used:
Brush Strokes - Crosshatch
Tramages - Tow the Line

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP. 

~~ Let’s get started ~~

Open up a 700 x 700 blank canvas.
Flood fill white.

Open up the template.
Shift + D.
Close out the original.
Delete the top 6 layers and Stars layer.
Image/Canvas Size:
700 x 700
OK
Highlight the background layer.
Flood fill white.

Highlight Strips layer.
Click on each one with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 14 Into Selection.
Apply Brush Strokes - Crosshatch:
Stroke Length: 18
Sharpness: 5
Strength: 2
OK
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel: 

Highlight Middle Back.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 11 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.

Repeat the above step with Left Back and Right Back layers.

Highlight Middle Frame layer.
Click on it with your Magic Wand.
New Raster layer.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Delete the template layer.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Adjust/Add Remove Noise/Add Noise:
Uniform and Monochrome checked
Noise: 78%
OK

Repeat the above step with Left Frame and Right Frame layers.

Copy and paste Element 57 as a new layer.
Resize 30%
Duplicate 2x's for a total of 3 element layers.
Move each element into position behind each frame - see my tag for reference.
To clean up what overhangs each frame:
Highlight the paper below the banner element.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the element.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Position it in front of the center frame.

Paste your tube again.
Move into position below the right frame.
Lower the Opacity to about 60 
Apply Tramages - Tow the Line:
Control 0: 32
Control 1: 54
Control 2: 48
Control 3: 9
OK
Duplicate the tube layer and move into position below the Left frame.
To clean the tube layers up of what overhangs the frames:
Highlight the paper below the tube layer.
Click anywhere outside of it with your Magic Wand.
Highlight the tube layer.
Tap the delete key.
Deselect.

Add your elements.  I used:
Ele 55
Ele 103:  Resize 30%
Ele 101:  Resize 40%
Ele 44:  Resize 50%/Duplicate/Mirror
Ele 31:  Resize 15%
Ele 38:  Resize 30%/Mirror
Ele 39:  Resize 30%/Free rotate Right 10 degrees

Highlight your white background.
New Raster layer.
Select All.
Copy and paste Paper 7 Into Selection.
Deselect.
Apply the mask.
Resize 120%
Merge Group.

Add your copyrights.

Add your name.
Color Pallet:
Foreground: #3b49a1
Background: #C00000
Stroke: .50
Type your name.
Give it a slight Inner Bevel:

Resize all layers 85%.
